Ed Tippett planned and completed a fundraising and awareness event of an open water swim from Robben Island to Bloubergstrand in Cape Town. This involved months of swimming training and putting together the right team for the event. He joined up with Mark Roach to do the swim together, as well as bringing Ivan du Toit and Kate Allwood onboard to also swim the distance in a relay. All four are cochlear implant users. The Moving for Sound platform (http://www.movingforsound.co.za/) was created to highlight the cause and act as a conduit for all donations, as well as being available for use in future events.

These four incredible individuals swam the 7.5km from Robben Island to Big Bay beach on 5 March 2022, and raised an amazing R50,000 for Hear Us.
