Job Description

New Edge Associates is collaborating with a reputable banking partner that is currently hiring a detail-oriented CRE Portfolio Manager in Miami, FL.

The CRE Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing a complex portfolio of commercial real estate clients, focusing on credit quality, financial performance, risk identification, and relationship growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor financial performance and credit quality of assigned commercial real estate portfolio.
  • Underwrite, structure, and document new and existing transactions in line with bank risk appetite.
  • Approve renewals and reviews for assigned relationships within delegated credit authority.
  • Identify credit risks and opportunities; develop and implement appropriate remediation plans.
  • Conduct thorough credit investigations and assess complex financial data.
  • Recommend process improvements and support policy enhancements across the underwriting function.
  • Exercise independent judgment in evaluating credit scenarios and making credit recommendations.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, risk officers, and product partners to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic credit delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial loan underwriting, credit decision-making, and portfolio administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate lending and structured finance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, credit policies, and risk assessment frameworks.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex credit cases.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, credit systems, and underwriting tools.
  • CFA, CPA, or similar professional certification preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and drive results in a matrixed environment.
