Job Title: Maintenance Electrical & Automation Technician
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Communicating effectively with appropriate departments/individuals and gaining a thorough understanding of applicable devices in the facility
* Working safely to prevent on the job injuries by always following safety rules and regulations including proper wearing of company PPE
* Assisting ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities
* Participating in company Safety Programs and proactively upholding the Safety Culture
* Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
* Exercising judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them all up to the site voltage maximums.
* Reading electrical/electronical schematics
* Inspecting and performing daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks, and cranes
* Maintaining a thorough working knowledge/understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and how to operate them
* Maintaining specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage
* Performing necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
* Providing technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
* Daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
* Using SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
* Working with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (or 2 years + related trade school/training)
* AC/DC troubleshooting experience
* Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of time
* Ability to think logically, analytically and solve problems
* Electrical controls maintenance and repair proficiency
* Knowledge of the melting, casting and rolling process and related equipment preferred
* MRO system; SAP system experience preferred
* Must have experience with and the ability to demonstrate electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques including a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
* NFPA 70E requirements preferred
* Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
* Strong multitasking abilities
* Thorough understanding of electrical safe work practices
* Work rotating shifts which include weekends and holidays
