Job Brief

Since 1940, Martin Binder Jeweler is a family owned and operated business that is synonymous with quality process, progressive retail theories, all infused with heritage and tradition. We are hiring for a Retail Security Officer. You will maintain a high visibility presence and be responsible for the Security and Safety of our property and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, both internal and external; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings; equipment and access points; permitting entry
• Locking and unlocking the premises at the start and end of the day
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Obtain help by sounding alarms
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personal, visitors and the premises
• Adhere to all company service and operating standards
• Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
• Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, and objectivity
